DOG TEN COMMANDMENTS
1.
My life is likely to last ten to fifteen years.
私の生涯は１０年から１５年くらいしかありません。
Any separation from you will painful for me.
その間に少しでもあなたと離れている事はとてもつらいのです。
Remember that before you buy me.
私を飼う前にどうかその事を忘れないでください。
2.
Give me time to understand what you want of me.
「貴方が私に望んでいること」を理解できるようになるまで
私に時間を与えてください。

Place your trust in me- it's crucial to my Well-being.
私を信頼して下さい．．．それだけで私は幸せなのです。
4.
Don't be angry at me for long and don't lock me up as punishment.
私の事を長い時間叱ったり、そして罰として閉じ込めたりしないでください。
You have your work, your entertainment and your friends.
あなたにはあなたの生活があり、
仕事や楽しみそして友達だっているでしょう。
I have only you.
でも私にはあなたしかいないのです。

Talk to me sometimes.
時には私に話し掛けてください。
Even if I don't understand your words,
たとえ貴方の言葉を理解できなくても、
I understand your voice when it's speaking to me.

Before you scold me for being uncooperative, obstinate or lazy,
わたしを叱る前にそうなる原因が何かないかと
ask yourself if something might be bothering me.
貴方自身に問い掛けてみてください。
Perhaps I'm not getting the right food,
食事はちゃんと与えましたか？
or I've been out in the sun too longor my heart is getting old and weak.
暑い外に長い時間放置してなかったですか？
もしかしたら私の体が年老いてどこか弱っているのかも知れません。
9.
Take care of me when I get old . you, too, will grow old .
いつか私が年老いたら、私の面倒を見て欲しいのです。
貴方も同じように年をとるのです。
10.
Go with me on difficult journeys.
最期の旅立ちの時には、そばにいて私を見送って下さい。
Never say, I can't bear to watch it or Let it happen in my absence.
「見ているのが辛いから」とか
「私の居ないところで逝かせてあげて」なんて言わないで欲しいのです。
Everything is easier for me if you are there.
あなたがそばにいるだけで、
どんな事でも私は乗り越えられる気がするからです。
